Well the election is over and the American people have voiced their preference. We have the benefit of being a participant in a remarkable historic event, the election of the first non-Caucasian American in the 230 year history of our great nation!
To many Americans it is the realization of a dream that was considered to be "the impossible dream", just a few years ago, but it is a reality now!
It demonstrates that America and its citizens are not afraid to make momentous decisions that will affect the future of our country when they believe that they have the right issues and people to vote for.
Of course, the new president has his work cut out for him. He knows and has said that the problems are great and the challenges are enormous, but he is prepared to face them with the help and support of the American people.
His acceptance speech and the concession speech of Senator Mc Cain are heartfelt and should be a guide for all Americans to work together, to put our differences aside and work for the good of our country!
Now, let's get back to business!
