Dear Friends,
Henry Ford said it best. "Whether you think you can or whether you think you can't, you're right."
In other words, your mind set drives your success, not the other way around.
Countless articles, videos, books and seminars have been developed to capitalize on this concept.
Why, you may ask, do I bring this up?
It's incredibly easy to find a scapegoat for one's inadequacies and shortcomings.
The bad economy, the poor leads, the low commissions...
Now I'm not suggesting success is easy. With so many obstacles that come up, success can be quite challenging at times.
But Personal Accountability doesn't ask whether or not something is in your way. It only asks how you handle that "something" when it shows up.
It all starts with establishing what you're capable of. By understanding your limits, you can map out a realistic path toward your goals.
Next, identify specifically what you want to achieve and develop a plan within your capabilities.
Finally, study your habits, patterns and speech and modify them as necessary to give off positive energy. If you've done steps one and two properly, then there are no excuses!
In essence, be positive. Use positive words when you speak. Have a positive outlook on business and life. Give off positive energy when you're with friends, family and of course customers.
Positivity will always be at the root of most successes.
